Ami: A blue scarf, a blue hat and blue earwarmers, all painstakingly self-knitted.

Kon, Momoko, Usagi, Russel: A little, handcrafted mp3-player. Kon's has the Superman-logo engraved on it, Momoko's is pink, Usagi's has little bunny ears and Russel's is green.

Whee, Wes is slowly catching up to Megan again :) And the Beast event pushed Jean-François' stats nicely.

Name: Wesley Robert Crusher.
Age: Had to be retconned because I fail at math. He came to camp with 17 and will be 19 at the end of July.
Hair: Light brown.
Eyes: Brown.
Height: 1.80 m or 5' 11"
Weight: Err... no idea. A bit on the skinny side.
Bloodtype: Not specified.

Medical info: To give you a direct quote from startrek.com, Wesley has a birthmark in the buttocks or groin area and is allergic to metorapan treatments. Riiight. Otherwise superhealthy thanks to the advanced medicine of his homeworld.

Physical traits: Your average lanky teenage boy. Not really the sporty type, mediocre strength. You see that he spends most of his time inside.

What's okay to mention: Wes is used being recognized by now so it's not a major revealing OMG I'M FIKSHUNAL shock anymore. He will feel a bit uncomfortable talking about it but won't refuse doing it, so if you want to have a chat about the Enterprise or flash the Vulcan handsign at him, go for it. His Traveler career should be avoided, though, you can hint at it but not explain it to him en detail.

Note for the psychics: Wesley has dormant Traveling powers (more about that in the next section) but isn't really aware of their full potential. He knows that there is Something Up With Him but refuses to think or to talk about it (four Psyche Locks for Phoenix). He also can't control them yet. Fun! Wes also died once and was revived by a divine creature.

Abilities: In theory Wes can bend time and space. Instant teleportation, time slowing or speeding up, all that jazz. As I said, in theory. More about that after his next birthday.

Also he is an absolute computer geek and technic freak. He builds and re-builds stuff like a kid using lego-bricks, so if you want an USB-stick that can also toast bread and play "Country Roads" while doing so, Wes is the guy to ask. See also the post about the mechanics workshop.

Shapeshift/bodyswap/etc: Sure!

Hugging/Kissing/Nicknaming: He already got his fare share of nicknames in camp (hay Cal, Sawyer, Excel), so he'll just shrug it off. He will be startled by random people kissing or hugging him. Friends can hug him anytime they want. Kisses are limited to the girlfriend, he will very politely tell you so.

Fighting: He can't fight very well and will do everything to avoid it. The only thing he might do is pull some defense mechanism (like a force field) out of his ass if he is threatened.

Maiming/Killing/Death:  I'd like to avoid this because of emo. A broken limb or so will be fine, but nothing that puts his life into danger. When Wes is really frightened, he also might unconsciously use his powers and just teleport away. I'll ask you beforehand, though.

Cooking: The Mess Hall and Ami's sandwiches are his best friends.

Infos about the player and her playing habits can be found here!

The mechanics' workshop has been established by Winry  and was used by Kaylee and Wes as well. When the first chibis appeared in camp he already had his own desk in there and after Kaylee left, he more or less moved into the workshop.

When I asked the last time I didn't get the impression that many campers use the workshop as excessively as he does, only pop by randomly. As Wesley basically lives there (he only goes to Boys' #4 to sleep), I took the liberty to make a l33t MS-Paint sketch of its interiors.

Fear MS Paint, for it is mighty )

It would be great if you could drop me a comment here if you think that a mechanic's workshop is something your character would hang out at regularly, because then I can assume he or she isn't a stranger to Wes.  And of course the map is by no means final:  If your character wants his own desk / shelve / box,  please tell me and I'll change the map accordingly.

Map details

Wes built the additional storage room himself to store the supplies he uses for trade and current projects.  This is the only part of the mechanic's workshop that is locked when Wes is not there. Really only the stuff he bought himself or found himself, hence everything that was not so easy to get for him is in there. Everything else is in the workshop, unlocked, for everyone to use.

There are free supplies in the supply shelves in the store, basic stuff like scrap metal, lightbulbs, nails, etc. All the tools and machines lying around on the workbenches or hanging on the metal walls are free to use as well. I'm not a mechanic, so  I can't give you a detailled list, just assume whatever your chara needs to build a mechanic flying broomstick or whatever is available. Wes takes care of the tools and machines, they are always well oiled, cleaned and maintained.

Wes' own desk usually hosts his computer and blueprints of whatever project he is working on. There's a box underneath for Momo with some of her toys and notebooks, also two dishes with her food and water.

Things you can get in the workshop

Wes spends his time in the workshop building minor and major things, either for his own pleasure or for somebody in camp. He trades stuff he builds for goods from the camp store as he doesn't have any money. Wes' technology at home is very advanced and he creates and invents things there all the time, so I just assume that today's technology is basically lego bricks for him.

Of course his supply is very limited (he collects pieces of destroyed laptops and orders parts from the camp store), so he won't be able to build your chara a superweapon or rocket boots or an own nuclear reactor. If you need something built bigger for plot purposes you can always ask though and we can figure something out (there was for example a holodeck in camp once for a  limited time).

What he can do is

- repairing laptops, cell phones (for camp-intern usage), gaming consoles, etc.
- build gadgets like USB sticks, simple hi-fi equipment and general technical accessoires. Stuff he constructed / is constructing for camp included a film projector, lighting equipment for a stage, a hibernation docking station for baby!Tachikoma, an LCD tennis game and a coffee bot.
- If you want to play this out, just poke me - but you don't have to, if you don't want to. I just assume small trades are going on all the time so Wes can get things from the camp store posts and  that means  people can also just  assume they got e. g. their iPod repaired in the workshop.

As I wasn't around at all during Christmas and have no excuse for Wes for the delay, please assume you got the following presents delivered to your door. If you wish to play something out with him, just poke me and we'll set something up.

Russel: an electric hairdryer, self-built
Fletcher: a programmed hand-held device to catalogue plants, think of it as a crude Pokedex just for plants ;)
Kon: a small holographic emitter (saucer-sized) that projects a small cube with the video of the wedding.
Kal: small handcrafted rollerblades for each tentacle
Ahiru: same thing like Kon, only that the emitter projects a small dancing holographic ballerina
Ami: This hairpin, only that his version is made of wires and the gems are blue glass, clear plastic, tiny pieces from chips and processors and so on. You only see that it is made from techy leftovers when you look really close, though.

I arrived here willingly - at first.  (I thought I was on a secret mission.) I live in one of the official camp cabins.  (Yes, in Boys #4.) I'm from Earth.  (Technically I was just born there, I lived on spaceships most of my life.)
I use the moogles regularly. I don't mind the audience. × In camp, I've (been) adopted (by) someone, in the absence of my own negligent friends or family.
× I'm the last (or one of the last) survivors of my kind. × I'm proficient in hand-to-hand combat. × Back home, I'm dead.
× I've had an encounter with the tentacle monster. × I use sparkles regularly. I'm human (or close enough).
